The most prestigous and longest running Young Pony competition is the Bundeschampionate (German Federal Championships for Young Horses and Ponies) which are held in September every year at Warendorf, Germany. The Bundeschampionate features Young Pony classes in the disciplines of dressage, jumping, eventing and carriage driving.

 

The rest of the world is catching on and numerous National Young Pony Championships are now held.  Both the Netherlands and Great Britain have annual Young Dressage Pony Championships for 4 to 6 year olds.

 

Australia has the National Young Horse and Pony Championships, more commonly known as Dressage and Jumping With The Stars.  Young Pony classes are held for 4 to 6 year olds in the discipline of dressage.
